The simple beauty of the flowers…

Mary Jane’s comments remind me of what I printed on the back of my greeting cards.

As you view Phyllis Neufeld watercolor reproductions:

“Come, dear friend, to a tranquil refuge, a place and time to renew hope and joy.”

The simple beauty of the flowers of the field and the subtle colors of the fruit of the vine are God’s assurance of His intense concern and involvement with even the smallest details of our existence.

Welcome to my Blog

Greetings! I would like to welcome you to my world through my artwork.  Many of you have told me how much my work means to you as you enjoy it in your home or office.  My hope and prayer is that my art will bring a message of hope and joy, while providing a peaceful retreat.

Paintings

I began creating art as a textile designer and then as a water-colorist.  Today I also create a lot of mixed media pieces with watercolor.  In the mixed media pieces, I use quite a few different papers that I’ve collected over the years; some are handmade.  I paint and dye most of them both before and after adding them to a piece of art.  In the last couple of years, I’ve also added more line work to my paintings.  I have been an artist for many years and watercolor is still my love; there is nothing like seeing the colors mingle with water to give surprising and vivid results.

Jewelry

I hope you enjoy viewing my jewelry creations as much as I enjoy designing and creating them.  I use glass, ceramic, wood, stone, textiles, metals and paper in The Neufeld Collection of jewelry creations.  As an artist, these materials open the door to a very challenging creative process.  I often mix several of these elements to create a truly unique piece of art.  Keep an eye out for new additions to my jewelry line – pieces from The Neufeld Collection are timeless, versatile pieces of wearable art!

I hope you’ve enjoyed browsing my website.  I plan to chat with you a couple times a week, so please let me hear from you!

Thank you for the visit,
