The King of the Barnyard Watercolor Painting

While working on a new rooster painting I thought of King of the Barnyard: A rooster with Attitude! Makes me giggle every time I see this boastful little beast.  I created him especially for a gallery showing of Fantasy Animals featuring the work of my young students. I have painted a few other critters who hang out with the King.  The King, or his retinue, would add a touch of the “light fantastic” to a kitchen, bedroom, dining room, or even a family room.  Please take a minute to view the King of the Barnyard and his companions.

The simple beauty of the flowers…

Mary Jane’s comments remind me of what I printed on the back of my greeting cards.

The simple beauty of the flowers of the field and the subtle colors of the fruit of the vine are God’s assurance of His intense concern and involvement with even the smallest details of our existence.
